"...When I will go back to Delhi, I will find out. I will find out what efforts have been made," he told reporters.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) which guards the plant and local police have launched a joint operation to trace scientist N Mahalingam who went missing five days back.

The team is trying to investigate whether it was a case of abduction or the 47-year-old scientist went somewhere by himself.

Mahalingam who worked at the Simulator Training Division of the Power Plant went for a morning walk on June 8 but did not return, police officers said.

A complaint was lodged by his wife on the same day in Mallapur police station in Karwar.

A joint search team was set up immediately and it combed the entire Kaiga residential campus spread over 100 acres and searched a pond as part of the operation, the police said.
