ICC on Tuesday clarified that it has not issued any warning to Indian coach Greg Chappell for making any comments on Shoaib Akhtar's action, as was quoted in some media reports in Pakistan.
"I have seen those reports as well, they are quoting an unknown PCB official all I could say that this has not happened, we have not done that actually what has been suggested," ICC, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Brenden McClements said.
A Pakistani Newspaper quoted a PCB official saying the ICC has apparently warned Greg Chappell to refrain from making any comment on the bowling action of Pakistani paceman Shoaib Akhtar or face disciplinary action.
"We have spoken to the Pakistan cricket board on several occasions about this issue of the code of conduct and where that fits. Yes, they have raised this with us and the fact that they had the option of charging Gerg Chappell under the code if they wished," he said.
When asked, what had PCB said in the report McClements said, "PCB has just expressed their concerns about Greg Chappell's comments and how and where they thought it contravened the code of conduct dealing with umpires and officials.."

{{/usCountry}}He said that the code of conduct does into come into play in Chappell's case as neither the referee nor PCB has laid any charge on the Indian coach.
"The issue so that someone has to lay a charge, referees have not laid a charge the PCB could have laid the charge..
"Without someone being charged the code of conduct does not come into play at this stage, we advise the Pakistan cricket board its an issue for them to deal with."
