ICC reprimands Nehra for breach of code

Nehra pleaded guilty and received "a serve reprimand," for his conduct during the match.

Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra has been reprimanded by the International Cricket Council for excessive appealing in Saturday's match against Sri Lanka.

ICC Match Referee Mike Proctor found Nehra guilty of breaching the ICC's code of conduct for players, a statement released Monday by the Sri Lanka cricket board quoted the ICC as saying.

Nehra pleaded guilty and received "a serve reprimand," for his conduct during the match that India lost by three wickets. Nehra bowled his quota of 10 overs for 34 runs without claiming any wickets.
