IDA Board meet today to discuss 50 issues

SEVERAL ISSUES, some of them controversial, will be discussed at the Indore Development Authority (IDA) Board meeting tomorrow. The IDA Board is meeting after a long gap of over three months.

Apart from the controversial Scheme number 133, other major issues that would come up for discussion and approval of the Indore Development Authority (IDA) Board are commercial use of Press Complex, Juni Indore over-bridge, 8-km Ring
Road, installation of a statue of BJP leader Nirbhay Singh Patel and several tenders for its properties.

IDA Chairman Madhu Verma said there are around 50 small and big issues on which the IDA Board would hold discussion to give its green signal.

The Board will discuss the issue of Scheme number 133, which has been hanging fire for some time. The Board will also discuss the issue of renovation of Ring Road from Bangali Chouraha to Rajiv Gandhi Statue at Pipliahana at an estimated cost of Rs 5.5 crore.

The IDA is putting up a proposal under which the newspapers have to make payments to it on commercial rates prevalent on the date of allotment in the 80s.

The Board will also discuss the issues of Juni Indore over-bridge and a link road between White Church and Bypass Road via Bicholi Mardana area in the City.

Apart from Indore Development Authority (IDA) Chairman Madhu Verma, the meeting will be attended by District Collector Vivek Aggarwal, IDA CEO C B Singh, Town and Country Planning Joint Director Kulkshetra and other senior IDA officials.
