IDS to triple B'lore headcount

IDS president said the co was expanding Bangalore operations to add product development capabilities on a global scale.

International Decision Systems, asset finance portfolio management software and services provider, plans to triple staff at its development centre in Bangalore as it seeks to drive product engineering from here, senior company executives said on Friday.

IDS president Todd Davis said the company was expanding Bangalore operations to add product development capabilities on a global scale.

"...The Bangalore Global Development centre is going to thrive as the technology hub for software development to serve the majority of the world's leasing and asset finance corporations," Davis said.

According to IDS, more than 25 per cent of the world's lease receivables and more than 50 per cent of the United States lease receivables are booked into back-office solutions that are part of the company's software offerings.

Executive Vice-President, Product Development, and Managing Director-India, Srikanth Sundararajan said the Bangalore centre would drive product engineering for the company in terms of innovation and scale.

The company,which clocked revenues of $45 million last year, said the Bangalore centre was expanding to include development of "Rapport", an origination system.
