IED recovered near Doda college

Security forces averted a major tragedy with the recovery of an IED planted near a college in Doda district.

Security forces on Friday averted a major tragedy with the recovery of an Improvised Explosive Device planted by suspected terrorist near a college in Doda district, Defence sources said.

Acting on specific information, troops launched a sensitisation operation in the periphery of a degree college in Doda town on Friday morning, the sources said.

During the search an IED planted by terrorist near the boundary wall of the college was recovered, they said adding it was defused safely.
