Civic body bosses have sought a similar embargo on 10 illegal colonies regularised by the Indore Development Fund Limited (IDFL) that were later handed over to the Corporation.

Sources revealed that the move was prompted by a desire to quell litigation, and the consequent loss of money and man-hours, arising out of ownership disputes on land leased by the Corporation.

Responding to a clarification sought by the District Registrar (vide letter no 408/MAP dated September 25) Municipal Commissioner requested the official not to transfer registries in 22 localities before receiving an all clear from the IMC.
He listed Navratanbag, Loha Mandi, Subhash Nagar, Jai Hind Nagar, White Church Colony, Dhar Kothi, Manoramaganj (Gali No 6), Jamuna Colony, Ramada Colony, Juni Indore (Gadi Adda, Harijan Colony), Palasia (Harijan Colony), Murari Mohalla (Harijan Colony), Raj Mohalla (Harijan Colony), Bhanwarkuan (Harijan Colony) among the places where this precaution was to be taken.
