JAN MORCHA workers took out a procession and staged a dharna at DM’s office to protest against the misrule of Mulayam Singh Yadav-led government.

They handed over a 12 points charter of demands to the city magistrate to be forwarded to the Governor of UP including the demand for the dismissal of State government, due to its failure to fulfil its constitutional duty. The state president of Jan Morcha youth wing Nadeem Mirza said Mulayam Singh movement had become insensitive over the inconvenience caused to the farmers.
He blamed that government was providing shelter to criminals and expressed his concern over non-availability of seeds and fertilizers on the time of Rabi crops.
JD(U) claim: Meanwhile, member of the national working committee of the Janata Dal (United) and former MLA Jagdish Lal claimed that JD(U) and Apna Dal would emerge as a powerful political option in UP for the people who were fed up with the policies of the SP, the BSP and the BJP.
Lal alleged that SP leaders were promoting ‘parivarwadi politics’ and said people were fed up with the misrule of the Mulayam Singh-led government. Lal said a separate purvanchal state was on the agenda of JD(U) and Apna Dal as the party was in favour of small states.
