Place of my own
I’m basically from Canada, my parent are from Punjab. So when I came down to Mumbai, I didn’t have any place to call my own. My friend, Mukul Deora, came to my rescue, He had an extra flat in Breach Candy so he put me up there. I stayed there for three months before I rented out a place. For the past three years, I am living in the North Mumbai suburb of Oshiwara. My place is very much like a bachelor’s pad, it’s a one bedroom hall kitchen apartment. I found this place with a lot of effort because I had pre-conceived ideas about the place I wanted. I was looking for a clean place, not one with a collection of cracks on the wall.

Work from home
My favourite corner in the house is my work station. I spend 90 per cent of my time here. I go to my bedroom just to change clothes and to sleep. All the colours that you see in the house are my ex-girlfriend’s idea. Since singers, music directors etc keep coming over, I have an open bar-kitchen set up. The only flaw I can think of in this home, as compared to my place I had in Canada is that here (Mumbai) we lack space and ventilation. But I love the chaos, and Mumbai is perfect for a mad guy like me.
