Describing the India trip as a big challenge, New Zealand stumper Robert Garry Hart said that he was keenly waiting to get down to business against the former world champions.
"I find every facet of the game in India a challenge because we are playing against players who know how to bat and bowl," the 28-year-old wicketkeeper, also the younger brother of former New Zealand left-arm spinner Matthew Hart, told newspersons here.
Visibly excited about his maiden tour to India, Robbie - as he is affectionately called - felt that the Kiwis need to labour to succeed in the tough Indian conditions.
"Yes, the pitches here are different from those back home. But I think a good cricket side has to play on any wicket. We just have to work hard on whatever (wicket) is presented to us".
Hart, who arrived on the Test arena playing against Pakistan in Lahore last year after the retirement of Adam Parore, has now firmly placed himself as the No.1 Kiwi 'keeper.
Having distingushed himself with some outstanding supporting batting during the Black Caps' first Test win on Caribbean soil at Barbados and then a defensive role in the drawn second Test, Hart felt that his success both behind and in front of the wicket was mainly because of his focus.

{{/usCountry}}"The basic aim is that when I keep, I focus on my keeping and when I bat, I focus on my batting alone. It's important that training times are split judiciously so that you are good at both. You can't just be an average 'keeper and not bat, or vice versa," said Hart, who has a batting average of 20.50 from seven Tests.
