Students of Madrasa Makhzanul Uloom Jama Masjid in Faridabad held a prayer meet on Tuesday. Reason: they want India to beat Pakistan on Wednesday's historic clash at Mohali.

"Our students prayed for the Indian team's victory," said Jamaludin, imam of Jama Masjid Unchagaon, Ballabgarh.

"We are citizens of a great country, where people from all faith are treated equally," he added.

A day earlier, a few Muslims guided by the head priest of Jama Masjid, Old Faridabad, also prayed for India's victory.

Just like in the metros, malls in this satellite town are also cashing in on the world cup.

"We have installed projectors at our mall for at least 300 people to see the match. It is for free," said Sakshi Bhatia, manager, Crown Interioz mall at Sarai Khwaja.

"We also have a surprise celebration in store if India wins," Bhatia added.

Some multiplexes are going to screen the match for Rs 200 to Rs 500 per person.
