Professor Bhagwan Chaudhary, who is an alumnus of the 1981 batch of IIT-K, said this while talking to Hindustan Times. Chaudhary, who did his BE in Mechanical from IIT-K and later switched over to Economics, is at present professor of Business and Finance, University of California. Chaudhary said, “Earlier India was lagging behind in finance and business management in comparison to foreign universities but things have changed today.” Even foreigners were taking up specialised courses in management in India, added Chaudhary.
