Indian fans went berserk after the last Pak wicket fell.

At 10.45 pm, when the last Pakistani wicket fell, the country burst into celebrations. Pouring out into the streets, with beer bottles, crackers, national flag and sweets, Team India fans turned a midweek night into a carnival.

Those returning in trains from Mohali screamed their lungs out and danced till the wee hours clad in Team India jerseys.

At the iconic India Gate and Connaught Place in New Delhi, the sky was lit up with firecrackers as thousands gathered to dance to the tunes of Bollywood songs.

Mumbai's Colaba area was brimming with fans and their celebrations were unrestrained. In Ranchi and Kolkata, fans gathered around India skipper MS Dhoni and former captain Sourav Ganguly's houses. People thronged to the Deori temple near Ranchi, where Dhoni is regular visitor.And it wasn't just India. In London, streets in areas dominated by the Indians, were choked. In Leicester, which has a large population of Indian origin people, thousands of jubilant fans poured into Belgrave Road, the hub of Asian business and culture.
