India faces a threat from the newly formed outfits of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, a security expert said on Friday.

Following the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, LeT-linked outfits and others like Jaish-e-Mohammed have come under scanner, Sundeep Waslekar, President of Strategic Foresight Group, a city-based security think-tank, said.

He was speaking at a seminar on 'Global Terrorism and The Common Man' in Mumbai.
Unlike sea route used by terrorists to carry out 26/11 attacks, they now might infiltrate into the country. Hence, it is necessary to guard borders near Nepal and Bangladesh, Waslekar said.
LeT is functioning under a new name Salah-e-Insaniyat and it had recently bought 10 to 12 acres of plot in Pakistan, he said.
