India are looking towards spin and Australia pace ahead of the decisive fourth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.
India captain Sourav Ganguly said he was leaning towards playing two spinners while Australian counterpart Steve Waugh said the SCG pitch had the look of a pace bowlers' paradise.
Australia have five pace bowlers in their 13-man squad while India have just four fit pace bowlers, with two of them - Irfan Pathan and Lakshmipathy Balaji - playing just three Tests between them.
Waugh said the hard and bouncy pitch would favour his pace attack rather than the spinners as has traditionally been the case at the SCG.
"I think there's a bit in the wicket," Waugh said on Thursday.
"It's not really a traditional Sydney wicket. I think this might hold a few surprises. I think there will be something in it for the quick bowlers."
Ganguly was hoping to get a dry, dusty track in order to play both Anil Kumble and Murali Kartik.
"That's definitely in the mind but we'll have to wait to look at the wicket in the morning," Ganguly said.
"I hope the pitch is not too damp. They've watered it this morning but the sun's hot so we'll have to wait until the morning.

India's pace attack will be without injured Zaheer Khan, who broke down with hamstring trouble in the third Melbourne Test.
