India-Pakistan talks on the Wullar Barrage, one of three river projects in Jammu and Kashmir that Islamabad is opposed to, will be held in New Delhi on Tuesday-Wednesday, reports Online news agency.
Water and Power Secretary Ashfaq Mehmood will head the Pakistani delegates while Water Resources Secretary J Hari Narayan will lead the Indian team.
The Pakistani delegates will leave for New Delhi on Monday. India started constructing the Wullar Barrage on the Jhelum river in Baramullah district of Jammu and Kashmir in 1984. Work was stopped after Pakistan complained the project violated the 1961 Indus Waters Treaty between the two countries.
Pakistan and India have held 10 rounds of talks on the Wullar Barrage, the last in July 2004, but all of them have remained unproductive.
