Indian American is Biovio's new business vice president

Before joining Bivio, Harbrinder S. Kang worked for Network Appliance as director of technical marketing.

Indian American Harbrinder S. Kang has been appointed vice president of business development at IT company Bivio Networks.

Kang joins Bivio Networks with more than 20 years of technology experience in networking, telecommunications and security at a wide spectrum of companies that include Cisco, Network Appliance and a number of Silicon Valley start-ups.

"With his broad network of contacts in relevant markets, Harbrinder Kang is an ideal choice to lead our business development programme," said Elan Amir, president and CEO of Bivio Networks.

"The growth opportunities at Bivio Networks are tremendous," said Kang.

"Bivio offers partners a high-speed computing platform designed for next-generation network applications that dramatically lowers their product development costs and accelerates their ability to bring critical IP service applications to market," he added.

Before joining Bivio, Kang worked for Network Appliance as director of technical marketing, where he built and provided leadership for a large team focused on cross-functional corporate strategies for Linux and HPC/GRID environments.

Kang has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Birmingham, Britain.
