Indian commits suicide in Bahrain

In an apparent suicide bid, K Mullathil from Kerala drank poison in a restroom of the restaurant where he worked.

An Indian worker in Bahrain has died in hospital after consuming poison in an apparent suicide bid.

Kanhara Mullathil from Kerala drank the poison in the restroom of the restaurant where he worked in an apparent suicide bid on Saturday, a media report said.

Also known as Aboo Backer, Mullathil died in hospital.

His body is expected to be released by the hospital on Wednesday and will be sent to Kerala where his wife and three children live.
