An Indian working in Bahrain has committed suicide in his apartment.

Ashok Kumar, who worked as a financial controller with a Sitra-based firm was found hanging Wednesday from the ceiling fan of his house by his wife Padmavathi.
Kumar left a note asking his family's forgiveness, but did not give any reason for his suicide, according to Gulf Daily News newspaper.
Kumar, 59, was apparently happy and playing with his grandson just a day earlier and the grieving family is mystified by his suicide.
"My father-in-law appeared happy and had no obvious problems at home or at work," said Ramachandran.
"There was nothing strange in his behaviour. He was calm and casual as usual," he said.
