Indian contribution in America highlighted

MINISTER COUNSELOR for Public Affairs, US Embassy in India, Larry Schwartz on Monday said there a large number of Indians were making their significant contribution to economic, social and educational field in the US.

The US envoy was speaking as chief guest on the annual day celebration of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.

“Now the US is seriously considering India as its future partner on par with England, Germany and France,” he said. He added, “The relations between India and the US are touching new heights. Many prospective investors are keen to initiate their activities in India,”

Richard Sherman, Counselor for Counslar Affairs spoke about recent changes that were implemented in obtaining US visas. Sherman said those changes were made in view of terrorist activities that hit America and other parts of the world.
Adnana Siddiqi, Counselor for Cultural Affairs and Mandeep Kaur, principal programme coordinator, Public Affairs Section also participated in the function.

National president of IACC Deepak Pahwa and North India regional president Vinod Madhok said they were working out synergies to raise awareness about the investment potential and trade opportunities for US Companies in India particularly in UP in sectors like food processing, tourism, power etc to make UP one of the most happening states in India.

Bholanath Mishra, a renowned industrialist, dwelt upon business scenario in eastern UP. Past Chairman of IACC KN Memani expressed his view on Sustainable Economic Growth.
