All the 135 passengers and crew of an Indian flight from Chennai had a miraculous escape after the aircraft's nosewheel got jammed and made an emergency landing at Kochi airport on Friday evening, airport sources said.

Fire tenders, ambulances and security personnel were in full alert at the airport to meet any eventuality, the sources said.

However, the IC 515 Chennai-Kochi-Goa-Kuwait, flight landed safely, the sources said.

After the fault was rectified, it later left for Goa en route to Kuwait.
