Tickets for the second edition of the Formula One Indian Grand Prix went on sale on Tuesday with the price of a three-day grandstand ticket cut by Rs 5,000 and the price of the cheapest three-day ticket increased by Rs 1,000.
A total of 99,384 tickets will be available through bookmyshow.com and jaypeesports.com for the event that will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida from 26-28 October. Unlike last year, when single raceday tickets weren't made available until the final week before the race, a limited number of Sunday tickets will also be available for Rs 20,000.
Speaking to HT on the sidelines of the ticket launch press conference, Jaypee Sports head Sameer Gaur also spoke of addressing the problem of access to the circuit for the ordinary public.
"This year I can say with conviction that the park and ride facilities will be the best," said Gaur.
"Last year there was one point where people could park their cars, this year there will be five points and the number of buses to transport the people from the park and ride to the circuit will be increased proportionately."

{{/usCountry}}Gaur explained the increase in price of the cheapest ticket available (which was Rs 2,500 last year) by stating that it was a result of merging two sections and the improvement of facilities in the resulting Natural stand.
