The veteran homoeopath based here says taking four globules of influenzinum-200 twice a day for a week can help develop immunity against SARS.

"For a child, the dose should be four globules per day for one week," says Chakraborty. He says a few Indians in Singapore who have been following his prescription have not contracted SARS.

There is no need to panic as the mortality rate for SARS is only 3.5 per cent, adds the homoeopath. He says once a person has influenzinum-200 for a week, he or she will develop a slight fever, which is a sign that the immunity system is working against SARS.

If the person doesn't get a fever at the end of the week, then the medicine has to be taken for seven more days. Once the person feels feverish, the medicine should be stopped.

Chakraborty and his team of doctors decided to prescribe influenzinum-200 after studying the symptoms of SARS and the corona virus that causes it.
