Indian idol needed for wildlife films

Does watching animal features on television fire up your imagination? Do you have the burning desire to shoot wildlife films? If you are over 18 years of age and dream of capturing nature?s raw beauty on film, Animal Planet is providing the opportunity through its contest Unearthed.

Does watching animal features on television fire up your imagination? Do you have the burning desire to shoot wildlife films? If you are over 18 years of age and dream of capturing nature’s raw beauty on film, Animal Planet is providing the opportunity through its contest Unearthed.

Through this unique audio-visual project, the TV channel is going to zero in on the next great wildlife filmmaker. The four-part reality series will follow six selected contestants on an intensive training course as they learn the essential skills and realities of creating a natural history documentary.

Industry experts and renowned wildlife filmmakers Lyndal Davies and Andrew Barron will guide the contestants and will help each one to shoot and edit a short wildlife film.



Once the training is completed, these budding directors will be taken in July 2006 to the Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa for the shoot.



An international panel of experts will judge the final documentaries, and the winner’s film will be broadcast on Animal Planet in 160 countries. To apply for one of the six places on this course all you have to do is to go to
