STATE BANK of Indore took first innings lead against Sagar division in the three-day Maharaja Yeshwantrao senior division cricket tournament being played at Sagar.
State Bank of Indore scored 210 runs on the first day on Monday. Ranji player Devendra Bundela scored 71 runs and got good support from Mukesh Sahani. Mukesh scored 35 runs and Jatin Saxena scored 27.
Sachindra Bhat of Sagar bowled well and captured five wickets while Ranji player Shantanu Pitre took three wickets. In reply, Sagar division was bundled out for a paltry 145 on their home grounds.
Mudit Shrivatsav scored 30 runs while Rajiv Sharma scored 27. Sanjay Pandey bowled well and captured six wickets. Devendra Bundela and veteran Sunil Lahore gave good support to him.
State Bank of Indore scored 214 runs in the second innings. Jatin Saxena batted brilliantly to score 86 while Devendra Bundela gave good support to Jatin scoring 43.
Sachindra Bhat showed his class once again capturing three wickets while Juber and Shantanu Pitre took three and two wickets respectively. Ranji selector H S Sodhi is watching the match.

{{/usCountry}}The performance on matting and on turf cannot be same and the selectors should take note of this. It is high time that Sagar division goes for turf wicket as the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) is in favour of holding matches on turf wickets at division level.
The local association has to take help from the administration and prepare turf wicket at the earliest for better cricket.
