BRILLIANT ALL-ROUND performance by Rishi Yengde of Indore Sports shocked stronghold State Bank of Indore in the ‘A’ grade cricket tournament for ‘Indore Bank’ trophy played at ITI grounds, organised by Indore Divisional Cricket Association.
Batting first State Bank of Indore batsmen showed some grit against Indore Sports in spite of not having the services of their main players Devendra Bundela, Sanjay Pandey and Yogesh Golwalkar who are away playing county matches in England.
Sanjay Dube batted well and scored classic 51 while former Ranji player Sunil Lahore 25, Jatin Saxena 36, Manish Panchasra 35 were the main scorers and helped their team reach 227 runs in 49.4 overs.
Rishi Yengde, Sudhir Choudhry and Sunil Tomar bowled accurately to capture three wickets each. Chasing a reasonable score of 228, Indore Sports had to fight hard to surpass the required target in 49.5 overs in the thrilling match.
Ranji player Rishi Yengde showed his class in punishing all the experience bowlers mercilessly. He batted brilliantly to score 102 in just 107 balls with seven boundaries and two huge sixes.
Manpreet Singh 35, Gourav Pable 28, Shubham Sharma 23 and Paras Jain 20 helped their team reach the target in the last over to win the match by two wickets.
