INFANTRY SCHOOL, Mhow, hosted a ‘maitri lunch’ at Shangrila on the occasion of Army Day today. A large number of administrative and civil dignitaries from all walks of life got together for an afternoon of camaraderie.
Besides, Infantry School Commandant Lt Gen Satyevir Yadav, MCTE Commandant Lt Gen MG Datar, Maj Gen PS Rana, Mhow Station Commander Brig DK Mohan, Brig Suresh S Rao, Brig Arya, Mhow Station Administrative Commandant Col J C Vyas and other senior officers attended the programme.
Civil dignitaries included Dr Nirja Singh Dr KK Sharma, Dr SK Mahobiya, city Congress president Kailash Dutt Pandey, senior Congress leader Yogesh Yadav and others.
Lt Gen Satyevir Yadav said that the aim of the informal gathering was to develop a closer rapport between Army and the society, understand and appreciate each other’s aspirations and foster a feeling of mutual goodwill. It is to be noted that the State forces and erstwhile State troops of a colonial army were integrated into a national army on January 15.
