STATE GOVERNMENT has sought necessary information to settle representations of objections on promotions of assistant professors to the position of professors. The State Government has asked all regional additional directors of higher education to forward the required information as on January 01, 2006 in the prescribed format within 15 days.
Similarly, the Government has also sought information with regard to the number of professors working in various colleges immediately.
All principals have been asked to furnish required information through additional directors of higher education to the department. Promotion orders of assistant professors (to the post of professors) were issued by the Government on December 8.
The orders were based on the gradation list as on January 01, 2004. Assuming the possibility of change in the status, the State Government has asked promoted professors to take charge and furnish their current status to the higher education department.
The State Government has directed additional directors to send information needed to settle the representations against this December 8 promotion order within 15 days in the prescribed format.
Similarly, necessary information regarding the promotion of assistant professors and subject wise information regarding total number of professors working under the jurisdiction of concerned regional additional director higher education should be sent within 15 days to the department, the directive said.
