Wade is once again an injury doubt, his participation in the third Test starting on March 14 thrown in doubt after he twisted his ankle while playing basketball at a school on Saturday.

No standby
Wade underwent scans on Sunday morning and the results have been sent back to Australia for expert opinion. The Australia team management has been criticised for not picking a standby for the tour. Brad Haddin, who hasn't played a Test since January last year, has been put on standby.

"Wade had a swollen right ankle after spraining it while playing basketball yesterday. He underwent scans to see the extent of injury," team physio Alex Kountouris said. He did not take part in Sunday's training session, incidentally the first stint for the team since arriving here on March 7.

Although top-order batsman Phillip Hughes has kept wicket at first-class and international level, it is unlikely the visitors would like to take a chance.

Team mate Moises Henriques played down concerns of Wade missing out, saying it is very much possible that the injury is minor.

"I think he is in pretty good spirits in the change room. We had scans done this morning and we have sent these back to Australia to be reviewed by our specialists. We should have an update sometime tomorrow," Henriques said.
