The Pakistani think-tank is understood to have approached one of its former cricketers and current Punjab coach Intikhab Alam for first-hand information on the Mohali track, which is to host the first Indo-Pak Test next week.

According to sources, coach Bob Woolmer has spoken to Intikhab to find out how the Mohali pitch will behave so as to help the team prepare adequately for the match.
Intikhab was hired last year by the Punjab Cricket Association to coach the team for domestic competition and he has been at the helm of affairs for a number of matches in Mohali.
India also sent their coach John Wright to Mohali in advance so that he could have a look at the track.
Mohali has so far hosted five Test matches with India winning two of them — against England in 2001 and against West Indies in 1994.
The Indian team is due to reach Mohali on Sunday evening while the Pakistanis would fly in there earlier in the day.
