The Income Tax (IT) department on Thursday recovered Rs 3 core by attaching the bank accounts of an educational institute owner in the city.

The Income Tax (IT) department on Thursday recovered Rs 3 core by attaching the bank accounts of an educational institute owner in the city.

Officials said that all the bank accounts were attached and the amount was seized after the defaulter did not respond to four notices.

As part of its crackdown, the department has collected more than R130 crore till November.

The department is also monitoring the payment of advance tax installments paid by assesses.
