Interaction to help budding managers

IN AN effort to provide a window for interaction between budding managers and people across the globe, the School of Management Studies (SMS) of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) played host to a delegation of an NGO? Initiative for Change (IoFC)? and organised an hour-long interactive session with management students on Tuesday.

IN AN effort to provide a window for interaction between budding managers and people across the globe, the School of Management Studies (SMS) of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) played host to a delegation of an NGO— Initiative for Change (IoFC)— and organised an hour-long interactive session with management students on Tuesday.

The delegation comprising of members from across the globe included Suresh Khatri (Fiji), Tony Omar (West Indies), Alison Hayes (New Zealand) Waira Alberich, Ulla Ernstreite (Lativa) and Carlos Leon (Mexico).

Head of School of Management Studies, Prof Peeush Rajnan Agarwal, greeted the delegation in the traditional style and said that such interaction with people from across the globe facilitates prospective managers to know the versatility of the culture and inculcate the positive attributes from it.

Leading the delegation, Suresh Khatri, who has been residing in the country at official centre of IoFC-Indian plateau, said that organization is engaged in appealing to the inner conscience of the people with series of lectures, workshops and seminars.

He informed that Initiative of Change (IoFC) is focused around the interaction of people, whether few or many, in homes, small or large groups, personal encounters, training courses, and local or international conferences. For over 60 years IoFC has brought people of diverse backgrounds and faiths together.

Members of the visiting delegation including Carlos Leon, Waria and Tony Omar shared their experiences with the students and provided necessary tips to them.
Freelance journalist from Mexico, Carlos, demystified the collaborative index among students with specially designed games and stressed that world could have achieved bigger goals with collaborative approach than indulging in competition. They also presented songs on the occasion.

Assistant Professor at SMS, Dr Geetika presented books to the members of the delegation.

The visitors later met the Director of MNNIT Prof AB Samaddar and then left for Lucknow where they are scheduled to conduct seminars and workshops.
