“The IVRS which is being introduced today will benefit about five lakh employees of the UP government whose GPF accounts are maintained at AG’s offices,” he said.

Shekhawat said the new system would facilitate the GPF subscribers to know the status of their accounts at any time. For other queries or correction of faults, the subscribers could approach the DDOs and AG’s office.

“I am sure the system would go a long way to empower the customer and enhance the customer satisfaction level,” said Shekahwat.

The authorisation of GPF and pension payment are more sensitive in nature. We are improving the services regarding maintenance of accounts,” he added.

“The GPF accounts have been computerised for more than a decade now. The details have been placed on the website of the Accountant General,” he said.
