Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul Haq, who missed the third and deciding Test against India at Karachi due to his back problem, took part in his team's intense practice session at the Arbab Niazi Stadium here on Saturday.

Inzamam participated in the fielding drills, collecting the ball on the run and throwing with his strong left arm at a single stump, during which he had to bend and stretch constantly.

The burly Multan player missed the last three days of the drawn second Test at Faisalabad when his old back problem resurfaced and later pulled out of the third Test, which was won by Pakistan under Younis Khan at the port city.

The home squad indulged in a full session of practice, warming up and then undergoing fielding drills at the main stadium before adjourning to the nets just outside the stadium where India had earlier practiced on Saturday morning.

Also taking part in light warm up session and nets were the four Indian players selected after the Test rubber — Mohammed Kaif, Suresh Raina, Murali Kartik and S Sreesanth — all of whom came here from Lahore this afternoon after the main tour party had finished their practice.
