IPO guidelines for insurers by October

The Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority is holding talks with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to bring out initial public offering (IPO) guidelines for insurance companies.

The Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority (IRDA) is holding talks with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to bring out initial public offering (IPO) guidelines for insurance companies.

“We had two meetings with SEBI and after a couple of more meetings, hopefully by October, we should be able to bring out the final guidelines regarding listing for insurance companies,” J Hari Narayan, chairman, IRDA said.

In addition, the insurance regulator is also working on disclosure norms for insurance companies.
