IRCON presents dividend cheque

IRCON International Limited, a mini-Navratna company of Indian Railways presented a dividend cheque of Rs 25.17 crore to Railway minister Lalu Prasad at Rail Bhawan on Thursday.

IRCON managing director, BS Kapoor presented the cheque to the Railway Minister in the presence of the Minister's two deputy ministers Naranjibhai Rathwa and R Velu and several members of the Railway Board.

IRCON has declared an interim dividend at 255 per cent for the financial year 2005-06, Kapoor said. IRCON had earlier paid a dividend of Rs 20.19 crores for the year 2004-05 at 410 per cent on the then paid up capital of Rs 4.95 crores, he said.

Interim dividend is an enhanced equity paid up capital of Rs 9.90 crores after issue of bonus shares in the ratio of "one-to-one."

Including the current year's dividend, Kapoor said the cumulative dividend paid would stand at Rs 160.78 crores.
