IronPort expands business in Asia Pacific

IronPort Systems appoints Joy Ghosh MD of Asia Pacific region and Ambarish Deshpande as Regional Director, India and SAARC.

IronPort Systems,a worldwide leader in email security, on Thursday announced the appointment of Joy Ghosh as Managing Director, Asia Pacific. In this role Ghosh will serve as the General Manager for IronPort Systems' business in Asia Pacific across 12 countries.

As the Internet and email infrastructure continue to grow explosively in Asia Pacific, there is a huge need for solutions from users ranging from small businesses to the largest enterprises and ISPs. This growth has also been fuelled by a combination of increasing business needs of protecting from spam, viruses and email infrastructure problems. Keeping this in mind, IronPort aims to double its business size in Asia Pacific this year.

Shrey Bhatia, vice president, International Sales and Worldwide Channels, IronPort Systems commented, "IronPort, a clear technology and market leader has invested aggressively in Asia over the past three years, opening 12 offices and accumulating over 500 customers."

There is a tremendous amount of focus and investment from IronPort Systems in this region and we already have a huge base of satisfied customers in Asia Pacific and demand increasing manifold."

Further bolstering its India operation, the company has recently also appointed Ambarish Deshpande as Regional Director, India and SAARC. His new role at IronPort will see him take responsibility for the region's new business development and overall management of the company in India.
