SEVERAL IRREGULARITIES were detected in the service book of Balrampur Hospital Superintendent Dr Vinod Kumar regarding his service details. While the hospital director, Dr SS Srivastava, ordered an inquiry into the alleged irregularities, the Superintendent blamed his clerk for the faux pas.
Sources said that the Superintendent had completed 10 years of service in the city and he should have been transferred as per the government rules. A complaint in this regard was filed with the Director’s office alleging irregularities in the Service book of Dr Kumar. It stated that the information sent to the State Government did not reveal the completion of decade-long service in the city and this fault allowed Dr Kumar to continue in the same district.
“We are getting the details of the complaint filed against Dr Kumar and if there is any manipulation in the service records, it is a gross violation of rules and also a criminal offence. But, the matter of manipulation, as alleged, is before I joined the office,” said Dr Srivastava, who joined the office this February only.
Dr Kumar also stated that there was nothing to hide, as the books were updated by the clerks only. “There is no chance of manipulation from my side as the books are also kept with the clerks. In fact, the complaint filed against me is fake,” Dr Kumar said. Meanwhile, a list of doctors, who have completed 10 years in Lucknow was sent to the State Government.
