ISO certification continuation for BHEL recommended

AFTER A three day audit of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 from December 11 to December 13 in BHEL Bhopal and Kasturba Hospital, M/s DNV Auditors for these systems have recommended continuing the certifications, claimed a BHEL release.

AFTER A three day audit of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 from December 11 to December 13 in BHEL Bhopal and Kasturba Hospital, M/s DNV Auditors for these systems have recommended continuing the certifications, claimed a BHEL release.

The audit is conducted once in six months by a team of auditors from M/s DNV. The closing meeting of the audit was held on Wednesday at IFX seminar hall presided over by General Manager (HR) M C Prasad. Senior auditors of the company, including Ashok Kakkar, Anupam Chopra and Dr (Col.) R C Agrawal were also present.

Prasad welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude and thanks for valuable suggestions provided by the auditors during the audit process. The auditors gave suggestions for improvement in various activities resulting in value addition, product quality, environmental-friendly working conditions and greater resource conservation.

The audit scope covered activities of plant encompassing manufacturing, products, process and services for its Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001), including OHSAS 18001 in Kasturba Hospital.
