The BCCI vice president was in Dubai for an ICC meeting, and rather than stay in the plush environs of the Grosvenor House hotel where such names as IS Bindra and Sharad Pawar were holed up, Mr Modi, decided to accept the Sheikh's generous invitation and stay at a property that is one of a kind — The Armani Hotel.

Located in the Burj Kalifa, the world’s tallest building, here, The Armani is the first in a series of hotels, resorts and residences designed by Giorgio Armani himself.

I-T’s master tool to check IPL taxation

New Delhi: The Income Tax department has deployed its master tool— 360-degree profiling — to check the financial records of individual taxpayers in its ongoing probe in the IPL issue, which was given an award of excellence by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
