Income Tax sleuths on Saturday began raids in the residences of former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda.

According to a senior IT official, separate teams are raiding Koda's residences in Ranchi and Chaibasa.

"We can tell only in the evening," he said when asked the number of places being raided by the IT teams.
The Enforcement Directorate had registered a case against Koda and three of his erstwhile cabinet colleagues on October 9 for alleged money laundering, diversion of state funds and making huge illegal investments abroad without legal sanction.
