Fights between workers of both the parties have taken place on earlier occasion too. Last month, when Agarwal was inaugurating a submersible jet pump at Bengali Mohal, BJP and SP workers clashed, leaving some SP workers injured. SP workers had recently destroyed plaques installed in the lanes of Bengali Mohal.

This was done after communal clashes between the members of two communities at Ram Narayan bazar on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Agarwal is all set to challenge Bishnoi in the coming Vidhan Sabha elections from the constituency. And he is leaving no stone unturned to garner the support of both the trader community and the Muslims. Agarwal and Bishnoi both are prominent traders of the city.
With Vidhan Sabha elections round the corner and Agarwal calling the shots in his party, he had announced several development projects for Generalganj.
