An ITBP jawan, posted at the high-security Tihar jail complex in New Delhi, on Friday committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle.

Sunil Kumar, posted outside Jail No 5, died on the spot after shooting himself with his AK 47 from a point-blank range.

The incident occured at around 9 am, prison and police officials said.
A 1988 batch constable, Kumar hailed from Jhajjar district of Haryana.
The 38-year-old had just returned from a 15-day leave vacation and police suspect family problems to be the reason behind his suicide.
