The Indian team is not happy with the fact that they have 10 days between their first game against England on Sunday and the next, against the West Indies at Ahmedabad on October 26.
Indian skipper Rahul Dravid on Saturday admitted that India could lose momentum because of the gap.
“It is disappointing to have 10 days between the games,” said Dravid. “It could cause some problems.” He said he understood that the scheduling was done keeping in mind the fact that the ICC wanted India to play the first and last game but said it wasn't an ideal situation.
“It was similar during the Champions Trophy last time when we had to play the first game against Kenya and then had a big break before having to play Pakistan. I have no issues in the sense that we get some time off over Diwali to see our families before getting together a couple of days before the next game, but maybe this should be looked into.”
