A committee has been set up by the government to look into the nuances of this proposed plan, a government press release said. The committee would also suggest ways of strengthening these institutes and find ways of providing employment to the pass-outs.

The committee includes principal secretary of panchayat and rural development, principal secretary technical education and manpower planning, principal secretary finance, principal secretary commerce and industry and representative of the state unit of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). The PS, technical education and manpower planning would be the member-convener of the committee.

The committee would be formulating the rules for facilitating the abovementioned steps and ask for agreement from various concerned agencies. After that the committee would also forward proposals from interested parties in private sector to the state government for approval. All these activities are to be completed by July 15.
