Militants targeted a polling booth in Bijbehara, hometown of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohommad Sayeed, barely three hours after he had cast his vote there, injuring 15 people, including poll officials and policemen.

Militants lobbed a grenade at the polling booth at around 11.25 PM while balloting was in progress, police sources said.
The injured included five policemen and four polling officers, they said, adding they had been admitted to a hospital where the condition of eight was stated to be serious.
The militant attack took place about three hours after Sayeed along with his daughter and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti cast their votes.
