The late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s son, despite celebrating the appointment of a close follower of YSR, N Kiran Kumar Reddy, as the new chief minister on Wednesday, is showing little signs of relenting.

Calling the CM’s appointment as another example of the Congress’ “sealed cover” culture, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who was expelled from the party for joining the Jagan camp, called party president Sonia Gandhi a dictator.

“The British have left India. But now we have the Italian rule through Sonia Gandhi. She is acting as a dictator,” he said.

What’s more, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi had also been targeted. Jagan-owned Sakshi television channel said late Thursday night: “The Congress faced a massive defeat in Bihar polls, winning only four seats. Clearly, Rahul Gandhi’s magic hasn’t worked.”

Jagan loyalist Ambati Rambabu, former state Congress general secretary, announced after a show of strength staged by the group on Thursday that Jagan’s controversial ‘Odarpu Yatra’ (consolation tour) would continue.
