The three-member inquiry commission can’t carry on the probe into the alleged role of Gurunath Meiyappan in the T20 betting scandal with one member (BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale) quitting, said justice T Jayaram Chouta, a member of the commission.

He said, “The team is not there, only two members are there. Unless the commission is there, I don't think we can function now. It is left to the BCCI to appoint some other person.”
The commission comprised Sanjay Jagdale, justice Chouta and justice R Balasubramanian, former judge of the Madras high court.
Jagdale meanwhile said the spot-fixing scandal had hurt him like millions of cricket fans have been hurt.
"Some changes needs to be done and I thought it is better to get out so that some new faces come in," said Jagdale.
