BJP leader Jaibhan Singh Pavaiyya and Congress leader Umang Sidhar were among those who filed nominations on the second day of filing papers on Sunday for 17 of 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh going to polls in the final phase of election on May 10.

Pavaiyya filed his papers for Gwalior constituency, which he represented in the dissolved Lok Sabha, while Sidhar filed nomination papers from Dhar, state election office said here today.
Samajwadi Party leader Sunilam, accompanied by party's national secretary Amar Singh and others filed nomination papers for Betul constituency.
Prominent among others who filed papers was Rashtriya Samanata Dal president Sukhlal Kushwaha from Gwalior. The last date for filing nominations for final phase of polling is April 23.
For 12 Lok Sabha seats where polling is slated for May 5, as many as 154 candidates remained in the fray after nominations of 14 aspirants were rejected during scrutiny, the election office said.
The deadline for withdrawal of candidature for May 5 polling is April 19.
