LEADER OF Opposition in the State Assembly Jamuna Devi on Wednesday welcomed the decision of the State Government to include 50 per cent of dearness allowance (DA) of its employees in their basic salary and said their other outstanding demands should also be met soon.
She said the recommendations of the Brahmaswaroop Committee constituted to resolve anomalies in their pay scales should be implemented from the date its report was received by the State Government.
Besides, State Government employees were receiving eight per cent less DA than their counterparts in the Central Government and the BJP Government was expected to bring it at par as assured in the BJP election manifesto.
DECISION HAILED: The employee fraternity hailed the Chief Minister’s announcement of merging 50 per cent of their Dearness Allowance (DA) in basic salary.
With Wednesday’s announcement, the State Government has fulfilled a long pending demand of State employees. Welcoming the Chief Minister’s move, many employee leaders met him and expressed their gratitude for taking another pro-employees decision.
A delegation of mantralaya leaders comprised of O P Gaur, R C Gupta, B K Sharma, R K Tiwari, Rajendra Parashar, Salim Qureshi and others called on the Chief Minister to thank him for merging their DA in basic salary. Gaur said that lakhs of employees across the State would benefit from the decision.

{{/usCountry}}President of M P Rajya Karmachari Kalyan Samiti, Arvind Shrivastava termed the announcement as a ‘New Year’ gift to lakhs of employees. This announcement showed Chief Minister’s concern towards State employees, Shrivastava said.
M P Rajya Nigam Mandal Karmachari Mahasangh State President Ajay Shrivatava and general secretary Chandra Shekhar Parsai also hailed the decision and thanked the Chief Minister. Other employee leaders including Devisharan Raikwar, Pushpendra Singh, Prakash Rawat, Hemant Kapoor, J S Khalsa, S C Nema and Sudesh Shrivastava also welcomed the decision.
